Papers Finished!
Well, I spent a quality three hours at the library today, finishing up my final paper for finals week. I’m excited because the rough draft is done, and now all I have to do is to proofread and refine. Woo Hoo!
Secondly, I must make the note that you should never play pool with your parents. With their combined experience of college pool and the fact that they know how to push your buttons just right makes for a hard game of pool. ‘Nuff said. (Brian and I lost 0-3 today)
Papers and Academics
Nothing like having a great break from school - to get all of your homework done. I’m currently working on the third paper due this upcoming week, in hopes of finishing it before I get back to Marquette. It’s amazing how stuff always gets assigned before breaks, and the teachers expect that you’ll have it done the monday or Wednesday after the break. In their school days, did they have to do the same thing? Perhaps they’re sticking us with it as well because the feel it brings closure to their lives. Whatever the reason, I’m still here doing my paper. As for the James Bond movie, it was awesome. I’ll be posting the review soon, so keep your eye out for it. Over Christmas, I’m hoping to get out and see a whole slew of movies that I can review on the site, so I’m excited about that. All I have is a two-week push before the end of the year, and then I’m free for a month or so. That will be a nice time, come home, do some reading, work a little, play a little and enjoy life for a month before having to make those big decisions, like what I am going to do for the rest of my life.
For now, I think I’ll just work on my paper.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! After getting all the food prepared and spending a mad 30 minutes eating everything on the table, we all rolled into the family room to watch some football and some James Bond. After all of the relatives left, I decided to work on some philosophy. All I have to say is that there is nothing like finishing a philosophy paper on the night of Thanksgiving. The nice thing is that it’s one less paper to finish before I go back to Marquette.Tomorrow, my family and I are planning on putting up our Christmas lights as well as going out and seeing a few movies. I am going to hit the bookstore because I left a few books on the plane, and want to finish them before I get back. Finally, we’re planning on wrapping up a great day tomorrow by going down to the Plaza, checking out the lights and seeing the new James Bond movie. I’m excited to see it and will be posting a review of the movie as I get time. If anyone else has seen the movie, I encourage you to post a review on the site as well.
24 hours of… Ode to Joy?
From the annals of weirdness, someone has taken the one hour of Beethoven’s ninth symphony and stretched it out in a computer program to a 24 hour long song. I’m currently listening to it, and it definitely is hard to identify as the symphony. Give a listen, but only for a few minutes (It’s hard to listen to this thing for longer than that) and post your comment.
Home for Thanksgiving
I’m finally home for Thanksgiving, which means that, on top of the other homework that I have, I’ll try to do a little more updating on the site while I have free time. I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope that you have a great time with friends and family. As for me, I’ll be definitely eating a lot of turkey.
These past few days were quite busy, but fun. In anticipating the break, I worked on a paper all weekend and then slacked off Monday. Today, I decided to do a little work and take care of some miscellaneous items that needed to get done before going home. Now that they are done, I can rest peacefully tonight, enjoying the fact that I can sleep in tomorrow morning. Ah! I can’t wait.
