The weekend

Well, it’s finally the conclusion of a long weekend, and I’m planning on hitting the books tomorrow, since Marquette has the day off. I’ll be sleeping in until a decent hour and then reading all day, to catch up and make sure that I am on top of all my assignments for this semester. But, for a weekend wrap-up, on Friday, I ended up playing about five hours’ worth of video games with friends - it was a great time waster. Saturday was winter flurry, our big dance on campus, which was fun although the DJs could have used a little work. Finally, I spent most of today watching movies. Some friends and I decided to watch The Fellowship of the Ring and then go to see The Two Towers in the theater. It was quite fun. Now, as I am journaling, I am actually starting to feel a little tired. So, before I head off to bed tonight, I’m going to finish a little pleasure reading to pump myself up for tomorrow, when I have to read Charles Darwin’s Origin of Species, which I’m not looking forward to. He’s a bit on the dry side for my tastes, but I need to finish it for an anthropolgy class in order to graduate. Ah, the fun of going to a liberal arts college that requires you to be a well-rounded student. I’m not complaining too much, at least the class seems fun, so far. I’ll let you know more about that one as I progress.
