Toby the dog
Sorry about getting the humor link up so late today, I’ve had my head in the sand the past few days getting some major coding done at work. Today’s link involves Toby the dog. Use your fan to blow him toward the goal, but don’t let Toby hit any of the obstacles on the way there! Enjoy.
How to tell the ship’s going down
I logged onto Google News today, and was confronted with the most ridiculous story that I’ve seen in quite a while. It turns out that Cat Stevens, who changed his name to Yusuf Islam in 1977, was held off an airplane flight because his name is on the US watch lists.
This is the guy who put out songs about peace and love in a time when it was needed (and is still needed today!), and he is denied entry to the US!
Discuss amongst yourselves.
Wireless in Tulsa
So, it looks like the campus of Tulsa is a wi-fi hot zone. As a result, my computer is connecting to access points all over the place, and I’m able to get access to the internet so that I can put up my blog post this weekend. I’ve been having a fun time hanging out with Patrick in the dorm and all the cool guys around here that I met. It’s been pretty warm down here this weekend. Yesterday reached temperatures of the upper 90s and the humidity hasn’t made that fun.
Today, I get to sample the boutiful cornucopia that the Tulsa cafeteria has to offer. I am bit excited, although from what I have been told, the cornucopia is 80 percent salt, so I have yet to make an official verdict. I’ll let you all know what I think after I’ve finished feasting.
Late Night Recording
I’m making these available for a limited time. I am having someone sub in for me this weekend since I won’t be able to play music at Ascension. So, I took Patrick’s multi track recorder up to the church last night and recorded a few songs so the person subbing can hear how the music is supposed to sound. Here are two of the songs I put together for her.
Enjoy, they will only be available for a little while!
Audio blogging activated
Yes, you read the headline of the story correctly. My blog now has audio capability. What does this mean to you? It means that while I’m on the road over the next few weekends, I can actually use my cell phone to call into my website and record an audio blog. The website, in turn will take that call and turn it into an MP3 for your listening pleasure. If you want, you may even want to put it on your iPod and listen to it over and over again, although that would be somewhat odd.So, enjoy the audio blogs this weekend. I’ll be down at Tulsa, visiting Patrick, so we’ll definitely be calling the site up on the phone and having some fun!
