Posting wirelessly

I was going to post this to my blog, but for some reason, Blogger is down tonight. So, it’s going up on the main page.

To show how big of a computer geek I am, you’ll be pleased to know that this post is coming to you courtesy of my work laptop connected via USB to my cell phone which is connected into the Verizon network, giving me wireless internet access. Yeah, I know I’m crazy.

Before I left on vacation for DC, I called Verizon and asked them about how their cell plans worked with Internet access. I actually found out that on my plan, I have as much access as I have minutes, which means that in the evenings, after 9 and on the weekends, it’s all you can eat up access! Needless to say, I plan on taking full advantage of that fact. I just hope they don’t reverse the policy someday and I end up having a majorly huge cell phone bill come to my house. So, I’m posting this wirelessly from the network here in Washington, DC. I’m up here visiting Jon and Megan, who have so graciously allowed me to stay at their apartment in Fairfax.

To recap what I have done so far:
Thursday invovled hiking around to the Library of Congress, the Capitol building, the Supreme Court, the National Holocaust museum, getting a glimpse of the Washington monument and having a wonderful sushi lunch at L’Enfant plaza.

Friday involved catching the metro for a quick lunch before hanging out at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at Catholic University. Finally, in the evening, I met Jon and Megan in Old Town, where we had a some great burgers at Five Guys and then took a ghost and graveyard tour of different houses in virginia.

More to come, as I recap Saturday and Sunday!
