Some thoughts about the “college lifestyle”
So a few days ago I was sitting around and the air conditioning in my house decided to completely break. Needless to say, after a few days of it being 87 degrees in our house, we now have cool air. This has been making think alot about how lucky we all are to have nice homes and stuff.
Since I’ve been with out a job since summer started I’ve had lots of time to waste. I’ve been thinking alot, and I’ve realized that it is now that time in the summer where we all wish we could leave and go back to school. Either because were sick of our parents/not having freedom, or we just miss our “college lifestyle”.
After going to school, coming home has just been kind of awkward. And I think I realized why. It’s like this point of in betweeness (is that even a word?). Yesterday, I was driving around KC, and chillin to some good music while stuck in traffic. I looked around at the other cars and thought… “When I come home life is so much more complicated.” Then my ADD kicked in and I started counting them and the looking at the pretty colors.
When I’m at college my life is much simpler. I wake up, go to class, work out, eat, go to class, hang out, and sleep… alot. I think if we could like turn in hours of naps for like a dollar an hour I would at least have like 25-ish dollars a week.
And now that I mentioned it a nap sounds good.

New Job
Well, it’s official - I will be leaving my current job in a week to become a youth minister for the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas. I have accepted a position with Holy Trinity Parish in Paola and am really excited about starting.
This is definitely something that I have been wanting to do for quite a while now, and I am finally getting the opportunity. More details to come soon.
Sorry I have not updated this website recently, but I have been busy tying down other things so that I could have a good interview for the job in Paola. I’m hoping to have more time to update now!
