Updates, updates… I know the are around here somewhere… Wait, let me check under… Aha! I found them, and here they are:
Thanksgiving was a great time. My two brothers were in town, I got to see Harry Potter for a second time, and was even given the privelage of getting up at 6am, driving to my Grandmother’s house to put the turkey in the over, driving back to my house to get some more sleep only to be awakened at 7:30am by my mother, calling to ask if I went over to my Grandmother’s and put the turkey in the oven! (I love you, Mom!)
But seriously, Thanksgiving was and awesome gorge-fest. The only thing that we didn’t have were vomitoriums, but then of course, my family comes more from the English/Irish/German side. Sorry, no Italian blood in me, so no vomitorium. (Thank goodness.)
This past weekend, I relaxed most of the time, and that was a lot of fun. I played a few videogames and did a bit of shopping with my Dad. My car went in for its second oil change of its life, and then I went back to work on Sunday, finished up a lot of letters for confirmation and mailed them out yesterday. (Yeah, I know that stuff is minute, but I need to take up space.)
Today was a veritable pleasure, as I got to stand outside in the cold weather for about an hour, taking care of recess duty. Here are the numbers: Countless runny noses, one bloody nose, one girl with a mouthful of mud, two skinned knees, one fight, one boy kicked where he shouldn’t be, four pairs of muddy pants and one parent, helping me out. To any extent, most of the time, I had fun, except for when the kids were doing things they shouldn’t be.
So, now, it’s back to work time. I’ve got to get some stuff ready for confirmation. Unfortunately, some of that involves me watching TV and taping things, and as my VCR in the youth room does not work, I’m going to drive home and watch TV there. Yay for my job!
