Aloha!
Someone told me to update my Xanga, so I am complying, although not without a fight. Due to the fact that we are staying on the border of the island of Kauai, internet access is sparse, cell phone signals doubly so. As a result, my brother and I, through some technical craziness, have my Dad’s laptop connected over bluetooth to his phone, which is in turn connected to the internet. It’s not the fastest connection, but it’s better than trying to send in updates over my phone. (Although, I have been checking my email using that method. It takes quite a while!)
Anyway, it’s currently about 72 degrees outside, and I spent most of the morning sleeping in my bed, while listening to all the birds chirp outside my window. This afternoon was spent laying on the beach and swimming in the ocean. It was a beautiful afternoon, and actually got a bit warm today. This evening, before getting ready to go out to eat, I watched a beautiful sunset from the room. I do miss being able to see the horizon of the ocean and watch the sun set on it. It definitely reminds me of how much beauty is in this world. God definitely intends us to admire and appreciate that beauty as much as possible, but I don’t think that we realize it is there every day.
Take some time today and find something beautiful in your world and thank God for that beauty. I’m sure that God always appreciates our acknowledgement of that beauty. In case I don’t get to update before the holidays, have a Merry Christmas!
