Oh, what a day…

So, I’m sitting here in the school typing this post. I have to first brag, because I have been able to addict most of the seventh graders to the Homestarrunner website. In addition, I’m sitting here while listening to Tiff’s song "My Body," by Pretty Ricky. Of course, before that I was subjected to the lyrics of Nelly with the song "Grillz." It was, to say the least, shocking to know that Tiff is listening to lyrics with lots of cusswords. (She just objected to that.) Oh great, now my humps is on. I think I’m going to hit the next button on the CD player. I don’t care about this person’s "junk."

 Whew. That’s much better.

So, anyway, my day was quite a long one today, starting off with Mass said by Fr. Aaron this morning. Unfortunately, during the mass the sound system decided to act up. We now have a short in one of the cords. I found out two things about kids this morning:

  1. When the sound system decides to go on the fritz and starts making noise, the kids make enough noise to rival the sound system.
  2. When Fr. Aaron puts his hand up to his ear to indicate that he didn’t hear the congregation’s response to a prayer, when the kids then decide to be "louder," the younger kids confuse louder with longer. So, instead of "AMEN," we get "Amennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn."

Finally, according to the girls, the highlight of Fr. Aaron’s homily this morning is that "Women always get their way."

Needless to say, it’s been a very interesting day. I’m looking forward to tomorrow, my day off, because I get to sleep in a bit, but I have to go to the doctor, because I’m getting sick of this sinus infection.

Please pray for a family down here who is experiencing the loss of their grandfather. In addition, please pray for the highschoolers, who are dealing with the loss of one of their teachers. Have a great Thursday, and stay tuned for Friday’s game!
