I have found my new cult movie to buy. Check out this link on Amazon. Well, I’m really not that serious about it, but I did think it pretty funny that someone chose to make a film on that topic. And now, on to more interesting stuff…
This morning’s homily at mass was really good. Fr. K talked about Mary’s response to Elizabeth and how it was given in such humility. It’s interesting that the first reading from Paul to the Romans is all about how to love and care for one another. The steps that are outlined are a pretty good template to lead someone to humility.
Likewise, as Fr. K mentioned, when Elizabeth greets Mary and calls her blessed, Mary does not launch into a speech about all that God has done for herself. Instead, Mary goes into her Magnificat and notes all of the times in the past that God has sent blessings and salvation upon the Earth. It’s a recount of salvation history rather than a brag about herself. How beautiful and humble!
May the blessings of Mary shower upon you today on the feast of the Visitation.
