Where is it!?!

What can brown do for me?, apparently nothing. I ordered a new mouse for my computer yesterday and signed up for a trial of Amazon’s shipping service which gave me free two day shipping and $3 one day shipping. I figured that I would try it out and pay the extra $3 to see if overnight shipping was really worth it.

I have concluded that it is not. According to the UPS website, my new mouse was supposed to be delivered at 1:12 this afternoon. However, I can’t find the box anywhere around my house or my neighbors! (Yeah, I rang doorbells and asked, like UPS said I should.) Needless to say, UPS told me to call the shipper and get it sorted out with them, but didn’t have the phone number for the shipper or any other details. It’s about average for customer service these days, which is unfortunate.

Amazon, on the other hand decided that it was worth much more to them to keep my business than to whine about a lost package. After calling them, they immediately offered to send me a new mouse via overnight shipping, which should get here Monday, assuming UPS decides to drop it off at the right house again. We’ll see. I’ll post another blog entry Monday and let you know the outcome.

So, at the end of this battle, UPS - 0, Amazon.com - 1.
