The ultimate mashup
Back in college, when we would all be sitting around, we would take popular music that we sang at mass and other places and try and re-make them into rock hits and other things. I’m not sure why we found it so funny, but we sure did a lot of ruminating on it. I don’t think doing that ever left me, which is why I am so fascinated with mashups and odd combinations of things that don’t go together.
Case in point: The following video I found on YouTube. I think it’s totally creative and funny. Kudos to the people who took the time to make this.
A disturbing bit of news
In case you didn’t see this, check out this article. It appears that Planned Parenthood has signed up a new program where you can get a cell phone plan through an independent reseller of cell phone coverage. The problem with it is that 10% of your bill goes directly to support Planned Parenthood and abortions!
I know that there are certain plans that you can get as a Catholic that supports Catholic values and programs, but this is pretty disturbing, not to mention a fairly large moral dilemma.
Ouch!
Why is my Lent starting off with so much pain? In the past few days I have hurt myself on a go-kart, cut myself, hit my head and almost had my finger chopped off when closing up a ping pong table. Do you ever have those weeks where you just seem to be a total klutz? Well, I guess it’s my week.
New Technology
I found this on Jimmy Akin’s blog. I think it is one of the funniest YouTube videos I’ve seen in quite a while.
Update: Found a new version and updated my page with it.
