Weird Dreams

So, Megan posts some of her dreams online. I figured I’d follow her lead, because my dream last night were just way crazy. In fact, they were pretty realistic.

Last night, I dreamed that I was driving home from my job and was really hungry because I had just finished serving for the Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast. However, for some reason, I didn’t partake in any pancakey goodness, and had decided to eat some food. I was driving this huge van/RV thing. It was like a Van-RV hybrid. The front of the vehicle was designed like a conversion van, but in the back, it had a full kitchen. So, I decided to go back and make a pizza. The only problem was that I was also driving the RVan.

Well, I had gone about three miles without having my hands on the wheel and the RVan was doing a pretty good job of following the road without my help, so I settled down to enjoy my pizza when I passed a police officer. The officer noticed that no one was behind the wheel and started chasing me. Realizing that I was in some deep trouble, I ditched the pizza and got behind the wheel. I pulled over at the next exit, and the officer came up to investigate.

I worked hard to convince her that she actually just didn’t see me driving the RVan, but she didn’t believe me. I then decided to admit guilt and explain that I was starving and needed a pizza, so I had gone back to make one, and the RVan was doing a good job of driving itself. She told me that she had seen my vehicle go off into a ditch and cause a whole bunch of damage.

After waiting ages for her to process my info, she came back with a ticket for $8,000 plus tax. Realizing that I don’t have that much money, I was really scared, because I had no idea where I was going to come up with a sum that large. For some reason, the dream ended right after that.

Finally, this morning, I woke up singing “O Come, Divine Messiah,” so that’s been in my head for a little while. What a weird night! When I woke up this morning, I even had the impulse to check my bank accounts to make sure that I hadn’t written someone a check for $8,000!
