In case you were wondering, my name is Nick and I run this domain. It’s more a place for me to post any ideas and thoughts that I have.

I am currently employed as the director of technology for a local high school. The school itself has a one-to-one program, meaning that each student receives their own laptop for school work. The school runs exclusively on Apple computers, which allow the students to do some really cool projects.

Prior to my current job, I spent nine months in a monastery, worked as a youth minister and a computer programmer. I have programmed in Visual Basic, Java, C++ and C# in a corporate, professional environment. While I was in the corporate world, I fell in love with the SQL language and all its intricacies. Playing with database structures and SQL is definitely a fun hobby.

I am a Roman Catholic and enjoy reading spiritual and theological books involving the Catholic faith. I am a big fan of Pope Benedict XVI, who is the first pope that has been elected during my lifetime..

A few technology companies I like are Garmin, Apple and Google. My current computer is a Macbook Pro and this blog itself runs on Wordpress.
